Hey Everyone!
I went to Il Fornaio today in Irvine for lunch, and after ordering my entree, I realized it might be good to share some tips on how to keep it light while out, especially during the holidays:)
Since my schedule usually requires me to eat out at least twice a week, I can get bored of the usual Seared Ahi Tuna Salad, or plain chicken salad with balsamic vinaigrette.
Now that is finally fall in So Cal, I’m craving warm food! How about trying a grilled fish, and steamed veggies? This restaurant offered a sea bass that was Delish! I was able to order it with the lemon butter on the side. (Couldn’t believe how much it came with) lol…
So good!
Try to ask these questions while deciding on what to order:
•How hungry AM I? You may be able to get an appetizer portioned salad, rather then an
•Do I NEED the carbs?
•Can I get the sauce/dressing on the side?
Remember, you can always take the rest home….
Hope you are all having a great holiday season! I know it’s hard, but I think it’s all about balance. If your schedule allows you to get 5 workouts in consistently, you obviously have more room to indulge. If your schedules too crazy to get the activity in, you have to be more strict with your diet if you don’t want to pack on the pounds before New Years:)
Happy Holidays! Be good, but have fun:)!
Lots of Love,
Mrs. B
